Over the years I’ve created countless portraits—whether as heartfelt gifts, memorials, or simply because someone wants to honour their pet—and collaborating with my clients remains one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
I’ve had so many beautiful testimonials, but the ones that really stand out to me are the ones have recently lost their beloved pet. This is something I connect with - pets bring joy, purpose and unconditional love to your life. When they are gone, that loss can be profound. Hearing clients say that their portrait brings a little piece of their pet “back home” is incredibly meaningful. Knowing that my work can offer comfort and play a small part in their healing journey is something I truly cherish
Please read below to discover some of these heartfelt testimonials.
Charcoal portrait of Ted
Memorial portrait for Sarah and Steve. Sarah and Steve got in touch with me shortly after Ted passed. It was so precious to be able to bring them comfort.
Beyond delighted Fiona we really are. You have somehow captured his personality beautifully. It’s actually quite lovely to see him “young” (although he was 15 when that photo was taken) and happy again. It will help that Ted to be my last memory again not the one of that last sad day. The loving care you took with the packaging shows how much you genuinely care about your stunning artwork.
I wanted to use the word “Masterpiece” but thought I should double check the meaning of the word & yes it is a masterpiece. “A work of art demonstrating outstanding creativity, skill, profundity, or workmanship.”
Fiona you have nailed it, totally nailed it.
Thank you for bringing comfort to our lives and for enabling our gorgeous boy to be at home with us once again. I can’t type any more as I can’t see the keyboard for the tears that are flowing- sad tears, happy tears, not sure which!
If you ever wonder why you burn the midnight oil working so incredibly hard please remember this email & the genuine heartfelt emotions you empower in your clients.
Thank you, 2 words seem so inadequate, but thank you.

Oil portrait of Peanut, and Bella and Peanut
Memorial portrait for David and Lesley.
This was such a sweet and touching story. Peanut was getting on in years, so Dave decided to commission a portrait of her. She had been adopted as a rescue, had survived so many illnesses and injuries, and was deeply loved. Sadly, she passed not long after they received her portrait.
A few months later, they reached out again to tell me they had adopted a wee girl called Bella. She, too, had a tough start to life and was born with a neurological condition. Because Peanut had been such a wonderful mother, they liked to imagine she would have been a surrogate mum to Bella—washing her, guiding her, and teaching her all the best sleeping spots. They asked if I could create a portrait of the two of them together, a way to picture Peanut watching over Bella like a guardian angel.
It truly was a pair of very special commissions. This is the testimonial for Peanut—both portraits were so deeply loved.
That’s it, that’s done, that’s Peanut. I think that when you climb a mountain and reach the peak of perfection, to do any more only takes it back down again. You have captured her appearance, captured her eyes and look and mostly, have also captured that nuance that makes each person’s pet unique to them.
Thank you for completing the portrait of Peanut. It has been a great journey, with discussions and updates, now is the tipping on the 🍰.
Oil portrait of Tabby
Memorial portrait for Abby.
Hi Fiona,
I just got home from work and Tabby’s portrait was waiting for me. It is so incredible I’m seriously lost for words!
I can’t get over just how much it looks like her, not even a photo of her, it’s as if I’m looking through a window at her.
Thank you so much for all the work you put into the portrait and getting it perfect.
I will treasure it forever and am currently researching easels to display it on because it needs to be featured!
Thank you so much!!

Oil portrait of Abby
Memorial portrait for Elizabeth.
This girl was the cutest with her huge green eyes!
Fiona is an excellent artist and I couldn’t be happier with my portrait. I commissioned this painting after my pet passed, and Fiona was so kind, compassionate and patient during this process. Fiona has an incredible eye for detail and went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with the finished portrait. I would recommend Fiona to all who are looking to have a beautiful piece of art of their pet.

Antoinette
Oil portrait of Zest
Memorial gift from Denby.
I couldn’t have imagined after commissioning Fiona to do a memorial painting of our beloved Zest, I would’ve turned out at immeasurably perfect as it is. Fiona was a dream to work with, she was professional, sent constant updates & asked if we would like to make any final adjustment before sending the completed painting, which of course, was not needed. Our painting was also completed in such a timely manner. The painting itself is remarkable; she captured the essence of our girl perfectly, not a single detail was missed or hair out of place; her work is incredible.
I cannot thank Fiona enough for her work nor could I recommend her more. The start to finish process was a joy & final product, breathtaking.
