Size and Price Guide
All prices are GST inclusive and in New Zealand dollars.
Please get in touch if you would like mulitple pets on a portrait, as these are custom priced upon commission, so I can work out the best options for you. Please note, pets do not need to be photographed together. It is preferred if they are photographed separately and then combined into one painting.
Oil on Canvas - (Small/Medium) Add $80 (Large/Extra Large) Add $130
Graphite Pencil - Add $50
If you would like to add a scenic background, this can be included for the charge above. The scenic background will be included in the mock-up for you to get a general idea of how it will look.
Due to their value, the portraits are very carefully packaged and sent via Courier (signed for). National postage is free (included in the price) but international postage is charged separately upon completion.
Which size is the most suitable? Generally, as a rule, the smaller canvases are suitable for a single head and shoulder portrait, while the larger canvas are suitable for multiple subjects, or detailed head and body portraits.
However, it also depends on the photo. Some subjects make excellent portraits on the smaller canvas, Lucas and Bremworth (both my cat portraits) for example. While Sarg (white Standard Poodle), being such a detailed portrait, would have lost detail on the small canvas and held much more impact on a larger one.
If you are unsure please get in touch. I will go through your photo's with you and help you find the most suitable size within your budget.
Due to the expense of the materials a 20% deposit is required at the start of the portrait, with the remainder to be paid upon completion of the portrait and the your approval. Payment can be made via Bank Deposit or secure credit card payment through PayPal.
Please see my Commission Information page, which gives you full information on the process involved, client contact and how it all works.
I have full copyright of all of my portraits. These may not be reproduced in any form without my written permission.
As portraits are very personal to the client, they will not be duplicated in any way. However, I do put finished portraits on my website and social media, and may use them for marketing purposes. If you do not want your portrait displayed on my website or used for marketing, please let me know.
